It is important to us that you know what happens to your data when you visit this website or contact us. This statement describes what personal data we process, for what purpose, and for how long. It complies with the revised Swiss Data Protection Act. To the extent that the European General Data Protection Regulation applies, it applies in addition to this policy.
The two organizers of CONAKO27 are jointly responsible for the processing of personal data:
For any questions regarding data protection, the easiest way to reach us is at info@conako2027.ch.
Every time you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically logs technical information: IP address, date and time, page accessed, amount of data transferred, browser used and its version, and the operating system. We need this data to ensure the secure and stable operation of the site and to defend against attacks. This data is not combined with other data sources and is automatically deleted after a short period of time.
The hosting provider for this website is [Company Name, Location].
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores. Technically necessary cookies ensure that the website functions properly—for example, by saving your language preference. They are set without your consent.
We do not set cookies for statistics and analytics until you have consented in the cookie notice. You can change or revoke your choice at any time. Additionally, you can configure your browser to prevent cookies from being stored in the first place. However, this may limit certain features of the site.
When you contact us via the contact form, we process the information you provide: name, email address, phone number (if applicable), organization, your inquiry, and your message. We also collect the time the message was sent and technical information necessary for delivery. We use this data exclusively to respond to your inquiry.
The form is powered by the Contact Form 7 plugin. The message is sent to our email inbox, and you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. We retain inquiries for as long as necessary to process them, but no longer than [insert time period, for example, twelve months after the conference]. After that, we delete them, provided there are no legal retention requirements to the contrary.
We need your email address for the newsletter. Sign-up is a two-step process: After you enter your information, you’ll receive an email with a link that you’ll need to click. Only then will we add you to the list. We store the sign-up date and confirmation to be able to verify your consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of each newsletter or by sending us a message. We will then remove your email address from our mailing list.
The newsletter is distributed by [Provider, Location].
Ticket sales for CONAKO27 are handled through the Eventfrog platform operated by Eventfrog AG, Neuhardstrasse 38, 4600 Olten, Switzerland. When you purchase a ticket, you will leave our website and enter your information directly on Eventfrog. Eventfrog is responsible for processing this data, and its privacy policy applies.
We receive from Eventfrog the information we need to organize the conference, specifically names, email addresses, local organizers, and the services booked. We use this data exclusively for the organization and conduct of the event, such as for check-in, the attendee list, and program information.
For more information, see the Eventfrog Privacy Policy.
We use Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are being viewed and how visitors find their way to our site. This allows us to improve our content and better assess our communication efforts.
Google Analytics sets cookies and collects, among other things, truncated IP addresses, pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location, device type, and referral source. We have enabled IP anonymization, so your IP address is truncated before being analyzed. The data may be transferred to countries outside Switzerland and the EEA, particularly to the United States. Google relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for this purpose.
We only use Google Analytics if you have given your consent in the cookie notice. You can withdraw your consent at any time. Google also offers a browser add-on to disable it: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google's data practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.
To protect our forms from automated submissions, we use reCAPTCHA, also provided by Google Ireland Limited. The service uses usage behavior to determine whether an entry was made by a human or a program. In the process, information such as the IP address, session duration, mouse and keyboard movements, and details about the browser and device are transmitted to Google and analyzed there.
We use reCAPTCHA because, without this protection, our forms would quickly be flooded with spam messages. Without this protection, we would not be able to offer the forms. In this case as well, data may be transferred to the United States. Further details can be found in the Google Privacy Policy.
This website contains links to third-party offerings, such as the Fribourg Region, public transportation providers, hotels, and partner companies. Once you follow such a link, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. We have no control over how they handle your data.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it unless absolutely necessary. We will only share your data if you have given your consent, if it is necessary for the organization of the conference—for example, with JCI Switzerland or a service provider—or if we are legally required to do so.
This website uses encrypted transmission, as indicated by the padlock icon in your browser's address bar. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. However, no one can guarantee complete protection on the Internet.
You have the right to request information about the personal data we process. You may also request that we correct inaccurate data or delete data, provided there is no legal obligation to retain it. You may object to the processing of your data and withdraw any consent you have given at any time.
For any of these matters, simply send a message to info@conako2027.ch. To ensure that the request is coming from you, we may ask you to provide proof of identity.
If you believe that we are not processing your data lawfully, you may contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
We will update this Privacy Policy if our services or the applicable legal framework change. The version published on this page is always the current one.
