Our Topic

Two halves that belong together

In Fribourg, “Moitié-Moitié” is more than just a cheese blend. It describes a canton that is bilingual and a city held together by bridges. For us, it represents what JCI is all about: people from different backgrounds coming together to build something.

CONAKO27 brings together elements that would otherwise run parallel: German and French; experienced members and those attending a national event for the first time; business and civic engagement. It is precisely this combination that makes for a memorable conference weekend.

Program

Three days that continue to have an effect

CONAKO is the annual national convention of JCI Switzerland. It combines the formal agenda items with the real reason people go there.

Annual General Meeting

This is where the course is set for the coming year. Delegates from the 64 local organizations make decisions together.

Training Sessions and Seminars

Training sessions on leadership, communication, and collaboration, as well as candidate seminars for everyone who will be taking on leadership roles next year.

Trade Show

The conference marketplace. Local organizations, partners, and projects showcase what they're working on.

Gala Evening

The highlight of Saturday. Awards, great food, and an evening that people will still be talking about next year.

Farewell Brunch

On Sunday, we'll wrap up the weekend together before everyone heads back to their respective regions.

Fribourg

Between program events, there is time to explore the city and the region and to engage in the conversations that arise there.

Speakers

Anyone who, in 2027, at the The stage is set

We are currently working on the program. We will announce the first names sometime in 2027.

For you

Whether it's your first or your 10th CONAKO is

You've already been there

Then you'll know why people keep coming back. Get your ticket early so you don't just see familiar faces over the weekend—but also get the seats you want.

You've never been there before

Then Fribourg is a good place to start. CONAKO is bigger than a LOM event, but no one stays alone for long. We'll make sure you find your place.

You run a LOM

Then your vote at the General Assembly—and the example you set for your members—will make a difference. We'll provide you with everything you need to mobilize your LOM.

Frequently Asked Questions

In short answered

Do I have to be a JCI member?

CONAKO is primarily intended for members of JCI Switzerland and international JCI members. External guests may be invited. We will provide details on the specific rules once ticket sales begin.

How much does a ticket cost?

There are three pricing phases: Early Bird from October 2026 through the end of March 2027, Normal Bird from April through the end of July 2027, and Late Bird starting in August 2027. [Insert prices once ticketing is set up.]

I've never been to a CONAKO before. Is this something for me?

Yes. Every year, many people are attending for the first time. If you can, arrive on Friday: it’s easier to get settled if you don’t start Saturday as a stranger. It’s best to come with someone from your local chapter.

In what language will the conference be held?

In German and French. Both languages are equally valid; no one is expected to be perfectly bilingual. The most important information is also available in Italian and English.

Where's the best place to stay?

That depends on whether short commutes or evening activities are more important to you. We've compared the areas and compiled a list of accommodations in the region: Accommodations.

How do I get to Forum Fribourg?

Take Bus 1 from the main train station—it takes about 15 minutes to the Forum-Casino stop—or drive via the A12, taking the Fribourg Nord exit. For detailed directions, visit Location and Directions.

Partners
